Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School welcomes volunteers who would like to share their time, gifts, expertise and aloha. There are countless ways to support the school ranging from an hour spent baking a dessert for a teacher appreciation luncheon to coaching a sport; from chaperoning an outing to writing grants or even serving as a school board member. There are many ways to help our students and the school!

Volunteers will need to sign up at the office and provide the required information prior to volunteering.

We are currently looking for volunteers in the following areas:

• Elementary Athletics - ball work, rule following, team building
• Cooking - our new kitchens will be functioning and we want to get things started
• 4-H
• Girl Scouts / Boy Scouts
• Dance
• Choir
• Garden
• Tutors (in-school and after school)
• After school program helpers
• Office helpers
• Teaching assistants
• Cafeteria helpers
• Shops Project helpers (Metals, Auto, Wood, Aquaponics, Garden, Recycling- at school and at transfer station)
• Booster Club members (Athletics Supporters)
• Assistant coaches for High School Athletics
• Volunteer trainer
• Hui O Kakoo O Laupahoehoe members (grant seekers and fundraisers)

LCPCS also has a wish list for donated items.Current items in need are:

• Riding Lawn mower (broken may be fine)
  
• Playground equipment
